Birth Planning and Education

One of the most important roles as a doula is helping to prepare and educate your families for birth. I often have people ask me if they really need this in a hospital versus home birth setting and in my experience there is a greater need. When plans change or complications occur there is often not enough time to ask questions, especially when emotions are heightened. Together we will establish a thorough birth plan so that you feel confident and empowered to make the right decisions for your family.

Birth and Labor Support

I have worked with families in both a home and hospital setting. I am there to provide a sense of calm and reassurance as well as advocate for the decisions you have made as a family. This looks different for everyone, some mothers prefer a more hands on approach while others prefer to birth in solitude and would like more support for their partner or children.

Postpartum Care and Meal Support

I wholeheartedly believe that food is medicine. I have seen a new mother’s mood and milk supply turn around in a matter of days just by eating nutritious foods prepared in a way the body can absorb. I take a modern approach to eastern postpartum cooking. I use recipes that are easy to duplicate so you can continue to nourish yourself once our time has ended.

Wellness Support

This service is for the friends and family of new parents. Often we want to offer support but we may not know the best way to do that. I prepare healthy approachable meals so that new parents can use their energy towards healing and caring for their new little one.
